  7. Privacy Policy
The Blogger Bakeoff campaign and Breadline Africa are committed to protecting the privacy and security of visitors to our website. Outlined below is our online privacy policy for information collected through our website and email lists. If you have questions about these policies, we encourage you to talk to us by email: ed-online[at]breadlineafrica.org.za

    1. Credit Card Security
Breadline Africa is grateful for the donations that help us continue our work. It is very important to us that your personal information remains secure. When you donate to Breadline Africa online, your credit card information is secured by a reputable security company (Thawte). Also, your credit card number is used only for that particular transaction and is not stored. You will see the "closed" lock symbol in the lower part of your browser screen (often times it is yellow as well) when you are on our secure donation pages. You will also notice in your web site address bar that the domain name starts with an "https" on those donation pages. This means that information entered on those pages is encrypted for your security. This actually makes it more secure than using a credit card in physical form at a store for example. If you have any questions regarding the security of your credit card donation online, please email ed-online[at]breadlineafrica.org.za.

    2. Resale or disclosure of information to third parties
We do not share or otherwise disclose any personal information including your name, address, or email addresses with other organisations. Only Breadline Africa staff and our authorised agents have access to personally identifiable information provided by visitors to our site.

    3. Privacy of Email Addresses
Our web site does not automatically recognize your email address. You may opt out of email communications at any time by un-checking the box beneath where you entered in your email address, or by clicking the unsubscribe link that is included at the bottom of every email communication from the Blogger Bakeoff or Breadline Africa. You may also call email us at anytime at ed-online[at]breadlineafrica.org.za to be removed.

    4. Browser information collected on our website
As with any website operator, Breadline Africa and the Blogger Bakeoff analyse our website logs to constantly improve the value of our website. We use an external service to provide real-time reporting to us and our authorised agents of browser accesses to our site. This reporting includes page views, unique views, unique visitors, repeat visitors, frequency of visits, and peak-volume traffic periods. We do not use this service to gather, request, record, require, collect or track any Internet users' personally identifiable information.

    5. Tell-a-friend
If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our site, we ask them for the friend's name and email address. Breadline Africa and the Blogger Bakeoff campaign will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the site. Breadline Africa and the Blogger Bakeoff campaign will store this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email. The friend may contact the Breadline Africa at ed-online[at]breadlineafrica.org.za to request the removal of this information from the database at any time.

  8. Breadline Africa shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations caused by conditions out of their control, such as weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, acts of God or circumstances amounting to force majeure.

  9. Breadline Africa shall not, in any way, be responsible, or liable, for any acts or omissions by its employees or agents in running the campaign or awarding of the prizes, which may inconvenience or prejudice participants.
